On Name-calling

Thank You Lord for teaching me this ... I am sorry.
So after i wrote my comeback piece here in my blogpost ... na medyo "bad" God spoke to me.

Matthew 5:21-24 "Teaching About Anger"

"You have heard that people were told in the past, 'Do not commit murder; anyone who does will be brought to trial.' But now I tell you; if you are angry with your brother you will be brought to trial, if you call your brother 'You are good-for-nothing!' you will be brought before the Council, and if you call your brother worthless fool you will be in danger of going to the fire of hell. So if you are about to offer your gift to God at the altar and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar, go at once and make peace with your brother, and then come back and offer your gift to God."

As Jesus was teaching His followers, He quoted the sixth commandment - "You shall not murder" - and the penalty for breaking it, He gave a fuller interpretation. Taking someone's life was not limited to physical murder; you could show contempt for someone through name-calling and be just as guilty. In Jewish culture, to call someone "Raca" or "Fool" was the equivalent of calling someone empty-headed or an idiot. It was used to demean and demote another. What makes name-calling so damaging is that it insults the God who created the person in His image! Jesus taught His followers that the weight of our neighbor's glory is a burden we carry daily. If we follow His teachings, we won't be guilty of identity theft.

"To insult the creature is to insult the Creator"
(and i just called someone mandurugas, manloloko, worst is diablo .... ouch talaga, felt like i was stabbed at the center of my heart ... i am so convicted ... and ashamed! )
Still I am happy, God is so near me. God's hands are upon me.
